English Simple Recipes



Ingredients:

  • 1 cup semolina (rava)
  • 2 medium-sized potatoes (fresh)
  • 2 green chilies (finely chopped)
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  • Lemon juice
  • Coriander leaves English Simple Recipes (finely chopped)
  • Oil (for frying)


Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, take semolina (rava) and add turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, finely chopped green chilies, boiled and mashed potatoes, and a squeeze of lemon juice. Mix well while gradually adding some water to form a thick batter consistency.
  2. Peel the potatoes and grate them.
  3. Heat oil in a deep pan or kadai for frying.
  4. Take a small portion of the rava and potato batter and shape it into small English Simple Recipes round balls. Flatten them slightly to form discs.
  5. Deep fry the discs in hot oil on medium heat until they turn golden brown and crispy. Remove them from the oil and drain on a paper towel to remove excess oil.
  6. Garnish the Rawa Batata Snack with finely chopped coriander leaves.
  7. Serve hot with ketchup or chutney of your choice.
