Ingredients:

  • 200g Paneer English Simple Recipes (cottage cheese), cubed
  • 1 tablespoon cornflour
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon oil (for frying)
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 bell pepper (capsicum), sliced
  • 2-3 green chilies, slit
  • 2-3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon chili sauce (adjust as per spice preference)
  • 1 teaspoon tomato ketchup
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • Spring onions (for garnishing)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Paneer:

    • In a bowl, mix Hindi Simple Recipes the cornflour and all-purpose flour (if using), and add a pinch of salt.
    • Coat the paneer cubes with this flour mixture.
    • Heat oil in a pan and fry the paneer cubes until golden and crispy. Set aside on a paper towel to remove excess oil.
  2. Make the Sauce:

    • In the same pan, add a little more oil.
    • Sauté minced garlic, ginger, and green chilies for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
    • Add the sliced onion and bell pepper. Sauté for 2-3 minutes, keeping them slightly crisp.
  3. Add Sauces:

    • Add soy sauce, vinegar, chili sauce, and tomato ketchup. Stir well to combine.
    • Add salt and pepper to taste. You can adjust the quantity of chili sauce based on your spice preference.
  4. Combine Paneer and Sauce:

    • Add the fried Marathi Simple Recipes paneer cubes to the sauce mixture and toss well to coat the paneer in the sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to blend.
  5. Garnish and Serve:

    • Garnish with chopped spring onions.
    • Serve hot as a snack, appetizer, or with fried rice or noodles.
