Ingredients:

  • 2 medium potatoes (thinly sliced)

  • 1 cup gram flour (besan)

  • 1 tsp red chili powder

  • ½ tsp turmeric powder

  • 1 tsp carom seeds (ajwain) – optional

  • Salt to taste

  • Water (as needed)

  • Oil for deep frying


Instructions:

  1. Prep the Potatoes:

    • Wash, peel, and English Simple Recipes slice potatoes into thin round slices.

  2. Make the Batter:

    • In a mixing bowl, add gram flour.

    • Add red chili powder, turmeric, ajwain (if using), and salt.

    • Slowly add water and mix to form a smooth, thick batter (not too runny).

  3. Heat Oil:

  4. Dip and Fry:

    • Dip each potato slice into the batter, making sure it’s well-coated.
