Veg Soya Pulao – Easy Recipe

✅ Ingredients (for 2-3 servings):

  • Basmati rice – 1 cup

  • Soya chunks – ½ cup

  • Onion – 1 medium (sliced)

  • Tomato – 1 medium (chopped)

  • Carrot – ½ cup (chopped)

  • Green beans – ¼ cup (chopped)

  • Green peas – ¼ cup

  • Ginger-garlic paste – 1 tsp

  • Green chilies – 1-2 (chopped)

  • Green cardamom – 2

  • Cinnamon stick – 1 inch

  • Cloves – 2-3

  • Cumin seeds – ½ tsp

  • Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp

  • Garam masala – ½ tsp

  • Salt – to taste

  • Oil or ghee – 2 tbsp

  • Fresh coriander – for garnish

  • Water – about 2 cups


👩‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. Soak the rice in English Simple Recipes water for 20 minutes, then drain.

  2. Boil soya chunks in hot water for 5-7 minutes. Drain, squeeze out extra water, and keep aside.

  3. Heat oil or ghee in a pan. Add cumin, cardamom, cloves, and cinnamon.

  4. Add sliced onions and sauté until golden.

  5. Add ginger-garlic paste and green chilies, sauté for a minute.

  6. Add chopped tomatoes and vegetables (carrot, beans, peas), cook for 3-4 minutes.

  7. Add turmeric, garam masala, and salt. Mix well.

  8. Add the soaked and Hindi Simple Recipes drained soya chunks, sauté everything for 2 minutes.

  9. Add soaked rice and mix gently.

  10. Pour in 2 cups of water, stir once, and cover the lid.

  11. Cook on medium flame for 10-12 minutes or until rice is done and water is absorbed.

  12. Turn off the flame and let it rest for 5 minutes.

  13. Garnish with Marathi Simple Recipes chopped coriander before serving.

Enjoy hot veg soya pulao with curd, pickle, salad, or papad.
